This is the post we talked about today:
Facebook Friend February 26 at 8:22pm
So I heard I need to listen to your radio program on the computer, how do I listen to it ? Well the reason I’m asking how is b/c I heard I’ve been the talk lately about what I post of my facebook postings. I hope you don’t use my name b/c you know thats slander making fun of someone right ? by using their name.
I was kinda hurt by this person telling me about it today and kinda got me in a very pisseed off mood that my family doesn’t need to hear about . How would u like your best friend talking about your wife ? it wouldn’t be very nice and it wouldn’t never happen b/c we are good people and I just wasn’t raised that way. I was going to call u but I’m too mad to do so ! If u don’t like what I post just unexcept me as your friend or I’ll do so if your going to continue to talk about me.
Thank You,
Facebook Friend
You know what’s so crazy too you don’t even know me that way to judge me.

I have no idea if this is true or not and I have no idea how it can be proven. However, it makes for a cool story either way.
Patriot: We Built a 40 SSD Drive Crazy Computer

The PC’s configuration is also pretty beefy:
- (5) LSI Mega RAID SAS/SATA 9260-8i raid cards
- (2) 1000W Thermaltake TRX-1000M power supplies
- (1) Thermaltake case
- (1) Super Micro X8DTH-I X58 Server motherboard
- (2) Intel Xeon 5550 CPUs
- 48GB 1333MHz of Patriot DDR3 ECC-Registered memory (12) PS34G13ER-E
The storage system of the computer though,–where the true performance lies–speaks for itself.
A sustained rate of 155,000 IOPS/s is generated by using forty 256GB TorqX SSDs connected to five LSI SAS PCI-E controllers. According to the TechPowerUP article, the system supposedly is able to “rip an entire Blu-ray in 0.9 seconds.” Clearly, this is impossible as no optical drive can manage that. What more likely happened was that a reporter misquoted Patriot.
The system is capable of making a duplicate copy of a “Blu-ray rip” on the 40-drive SSD array in a blistering fast 0.9 seconds. That’s at least an 8GB file copy in under a second. We don’t know about you but, load times be-gone!
Currently there’s no indication on when this insane beast will be unleashed.
